New Cutting-Edge Teaching and Reach Facility

IES Commercial was contracted to provide the electrical construction of a new 4-story, 105,000 SF teaching and cutting-edge research facility to house the Linus Pauling Science Center at Oregon State University.

The center includes a 180-seat auditorium, a vivarium, an instrument suite with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and electron microscopy equipment. Also housed inside the building is a chemistry laboratory space, a cancer/chemo protection laboratory, metabolic/cardiovascular disease laboratory, a healthy aging programming laboratory and finally administrative space to support this new facility. Work included fully integrated technology systems, a fire alarm system and an extensive power distribution plan.
