Meadow Grove 230-KV Switch Yard

This 230 KV switchyard serves a 200.6 MW Wind Farm located near Meadow Grove, Nebraska.

Location of Service

Transmission and Distribution services are managed through IESCI Holdrege.

Geographic locations of service include Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Eastern Wyoming, Eastern Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri and the southern half of Minnesota. Projects have ranged from 2400 V to 12.5 KV municipal utility voltage conversions to 345 KV/115 KV substation projects. Our line and substation crews are well versed in rural and municipal settings.

The transmission projects we have completed primarily consisted of mono pole type construction, wood or steel poles with voltages ranging from 34.5 to 138 KV. The phase conductor typically has been either standard ACSR or T2 ACSR with a 3/8″ HS static shield or OPGW. We follow the Standard 524 guide to the installation of overhead transmission line conductors.
